My girl left me for a rockstar.
I thought I was in love.
There wasn't anything left of me. So I ran.
And when I stopped, everything began.
She was tattooed and badass.
She was the piece I never knew I was missing.
She was real love.
And she was keeping us a secret.
But all secrets are bound to break free. I just hope that when ours does, she knows that this time, I'm staying.

Favorite Quotes:

Here’s to the breezes that blow through the treezes, that lift the girl’s skirt high above her kneezes, it reveals a spot that teases and pleases. Here’s to snatch, down the hatch!

"I do not sleep with the guys here. Self-preservation thing, ya know.” Bryn was talking a mile a minute. “I have to make sure that they never think of me as a chick or a piece of meat. It took me a long time to gain the respect of all those twat waffles with egos the size of Texas in there.”

My Review:

I giggle-snorted and smirked my way through this delightfully naughty and scorching hot firefighter romance. This dirty talking, well-tatted and nimble couple needed flame retardant sheets and fire extinguishers in every room. This was my first exposure to Ms. Mazzola’s wordcraft and I adore her endearing characters, clever use of levity, and bawdy sense of humor. I’ll be on the lookout for future opportunities to indulge in her tales.

Can I just say how much I love Mitch? Because I seriously love Mitch. Like a lot. I was so freaking excited to see him get his happily ever after and in true Kristen Hope Mazzola style it was EPIC! She truly is the queen of all things fast, hot, and sweet packing an emotional romance with lots of sizzling fan yourself heat into a quick read that feels so much larger than it is.
Bryn was a whole new level of awesome. Tough, funny, and independent she was still all kinds of lovable and sweet. I want to be Bryn level cool when I grow up. Mitch is someone I already had a soft spot for. After seeing how his previous relationship ended and already knowing how sweet this man could be I was already halfway in love with him and about five minutes into Crash and Burn I was totally and completely in love with the man! These two burn hot enough to set the pages on fire, but also have a love that will steal your heart.

This is a quick hot sexy read. Brynn met Mitch at the tattoo parlor, while having her tattoo done. Mitch has moved to make a new start after a bad break-up. So before starting work his can’t help being attracted to Brynn.
As they both work at the fire station, and Brynn being the only female firefighter they decided to keep their relationship a secret.
We all know how well that works? This is an enjoyable romance, and I have say I enjoyed reading about Mitch and Brynn’s journey to their happy Ever After.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

United by a career, they love, an attraction hard to control and painful moments each refuses to face, a love of tattoos is the road map to two broken souls. Hot d*mn!! This one melted the panties just a bit. Looking for a fresh start Mitch takes the first job offer. Bryn is celebrating by getting a tattoo when she meets Mitch. Only to discover after a very steamy night that they will be working together. Things change as they get closer and then an accident changes everything. This one was short, sweet and hot!!

This book was given to me at my request and I provided this review voluntarily

This is the first book I've read by Kristen Hope Mazzola. This was a good, quick, read that I really enjoyed. I really liked Bryn and Mitch together. They have chemistry from the very beginning. The book also has very little drama, which is something that I really appreciated. If you're in the mood for a good contemporary, this book is for you.

This book had me holding tight to my kindle, flipping from page to page as quickly as it would allow. The storyline was kicka$$ and kept your interest throughout. I was excited to see Mitch The Hysterics, and he and Bryn were wonderful from the beginning. I'm so glad Mitch got his HEA!

Short and Sexy!

Kristen Hope Mazzola gives her readers a sexy little ditty with Crash & Burn. Mitch and Bryn are each tatted up and hot on their own, but together they are on fire! I’m not sure if Mitch and his ex were featured in a previous book, as I felt a little lost with his back story, however it wasn’t enough to turn me off from thier whirlwind romance.

There’s a little bit of everything, coworkers, exes, secrets and of course steamy scenes galore. The book is well written and a nice pick me up for those in a reading rut. While the book was a quick read, it was well put together with a nice epilogue to wrap things up.

**Mitch and Bryn** ~A part of the Burn me Anthology~

Mitch is a heart broken fool or so he thinks. He loves deeply and when his ex takes off with a rock star his fragile heart is shattered or so he thinks. So he puts in for a transfer to any city and he ends up in St. Louis of all places. His first day he meets a sassy blonde named Bryn who lights his fuse instantly. After a 1 nighter they come face to face at his new fire station to which they figure out that they will be working together at the same house, but not on the same shift to Bryn's relief. After then deciding to keep their tryst a secret and keep going at it, they both fall hard but Bryn is not willing to let it happen. She fights it until she has an accident at work and ends up in the hospital. Mitch is loosing his mind until he gets to the hospital and sees she is going to be ok and she finally admits that she loves him too.

I really really hope that Mitch and Bryn get more to their story. Kristen I loved this story and want more, more, more!!!! Please and thank you.

Mitch is looking to start over. New city, new life, and all without the woman he thought he loved. Thought being the operative word as just one look at Bryn and he realizes he had no clue what love truly was until her.

Bryn is done with men. Well, at least her recent boyfriend, now an ex, after he cheated one her. While celebrating a new tattoo, she meets Mitch and the chemistry is enough to scorch everything around them.

When Mitch and Bryn share an intense night together, both know they've found something special but are equally as hesitant due to recently bad relationships. The dilemma is taken out of their hands though after learning they now work together. So, they resolving to only have the memory of what they shared and remain friends instead.

That agreement doesn't last long at all though as their connection is too much to ignore. Byrn though is determined to protect her heart this time around and tries to deny her feelings, but when she's hurt, that scary situation shows her the truth of her heart. Especially when Mitch rushes to her side, unable to calm down until he knows she's okay.

What happens when their secret is revealed? Will they be able to continue their relationship or will it be forbidden? Can they handle the dangers associated with their jobs while being in love? Is a HEA possible?

One-click now and follow along as two people, both having baggage from previous relationships, instantly click but soon learn their defensive walls may not be the only thing preventing them from exploring their love. I like that both Mitch and Bryn instantly felt the connection and acted on it instead of beating around the bush or playing any games. You could feel the chemistry between them and couldn't help but root for them to figure out their issues and fight for their love. - By Elizabeth

Readers looking for a quick read full of sexiness, life and death circumstances, and an appealing couple you can’t help but root for will get all that and more in this exhilarating romance. With its hero from a previous installment in the Hysterics series, readers are familiar with Mitch and his coping with being dumped for a rockstar. In an attempt to move on he’s started over in a new city at a new firehouse where one of his new co-workers is the one-night stand who just left his bed. Brynn’s an immensely appealing heroine, snarky and tough on the outside, who just wants to be thought of as one of the boys. Falling for the new man on their crew creates all sorts of problems when it comes to the hearts and their future, but readers will be rooting them on every step of the way.

Mitch and Brynn are a fun couple with crackling dialogue and a sizzling connection from the moment they meet. While Mitch immediately wants everyone to know she’s his, Brynn’s more hesitant as she doesn’t want to look weak to her co-workers. Scorching encounters are soon being balanced with scenes teeming with sexual tension to keep readers on edge regarding their future. When fate intervenes, leaving Brynn’s life in jeopardy, their connection will truly be tested while putting readers through the emotional wringer before reaching a sweet and satisfying conclusion. On a whole this was an entertaining read that gave a few hours of decadent delights, smiles, laughter, and is a nice addition to the Hysterics series where every character has come to feel like family!

*An advance reading copy was provided to me in exchange for an honest review. *

These firefighters bring their own scorching heat in this story by Kristen Hope Mazzola. Brynn is the only female firefighter in her St. Louis firehouse and is finally off of “probie” status. Mitch has relocated from Florida, taking the first fire job that accepted him after his girlfriend dumps him for a rock star. They met at tattoo parlor, of all places, and have an immediate connection. They meet for a drink and the sparks fly. One thing leads to another and you get the picture.

As dumb luck would have it, Mitch’s new job is at Brynn’s firehouse, but thankfully they’re on separate shifts. They try to keep their “friends with benefits” underwraps, even from Brynn’s best friend and roommate, fellow firefighter Cam. Can they keep the fire alive without making a commitment or will something happen to ignite a real relationship? All I have to say is that this sizzling tale was too short, but I’ve heard we will be getting more of Brynn and Mitch’s story in the months to come.

This book is part of a charity anthology and shouldn’t be passed up! It’s hot stuff! I really do love an anthology! This anthology provides great stories from a plethora of authors that allows me to read favorites and find new authors at the same time.
In Crash & Burn by Kristen Hope Mazzola you get to meet Mitch again and find out more about his story. In the crashing series we met Mitch, but this time we get to know him more and how he rebuilds his life after his girlfriend left him for a rockstar. It’s time for a whole new start for this hunky tatted firefighter, and maybe time for a new tattoo. Bryn is getting a tattoo to commemorate completing her probationary period as a firefighter, when some guy interrupts her session. Put off at first, Bryn changes her mind and ends up out for a night of fun with Mitch. When one thing leads to another, what’s just one night of fun in the grand scheme of life right? Until Mitch and Bryn find themselves at the same firehouse. Just wait as the scorching chemistry between Mitch and Bryn unfolds!

I loved this story! Bryn is a sweet and sassy female firefighter who has the respect of all the guys at her station. She has just finished her probationary term and is celebrating by getting herself a new tat. When in walks this delicious looking man. Mitch gets to chatting her up, we find out he just moved to the area and is also a firefighter and they decide to go out later that night. They have instant chemistry! Their scenes are burning up. They end up going back to his place and hooking up. What they don't realize is that they are going to be working at the same firehouse. Do they keep it just friends or friends with benefits on the down low? Kristen is awesome at weaving her stories, she grabs you right from the beginning and still has you looking for more after the last sentence! This was only a novella. It's part of the Burn Me Anthology to raise charity for Hopes For Heroes Charity. But there is a new full length book being written for Mitch and Bryn! I received an ARC for my honest review.

This book is part of the Burn Me anthology as well as Kristen’s Crashing Back Down series. Mitch is starting over after the woman he thought he was going to spend the rest of his life left him. Bryn has just finished her probationary period as a firefighter. While getting a tattoo to commemorate this she meets Mitch. They hit it off and spend the night together. Only to realize the next day that they will be working at the same fire house, but no the same shift. They must decide if they want to keep seeing it other or just be friends. And, if they decide to keep seeing each other will they keep it a secret or let others know. Bryn has worked hard for the guys to see her as their equal but she really likes Mitch. I really liked this story and I can’t wait to read more of Mitch and Bryn’s story. If you want to know what Bryn and Mitch decide to do you will have to read the book.
I was given this book in return for an honest review.

5 STAR Review by Jodi for Ruby Red Romance Review

I love this book. I love every single second of this amazing story. I love Bryn. She's a strong woman who wants to make it in a man's world. She's just finished as a probi for the fire department. Now it's time for her to do what she's always dreamed of. While getting her latest ink, Bryn meets Mitch. I love Bryn's character. She's sweet, sassy, and everything I wish I could be. She is going to make it in a job dominated by men. But she has eyes for one man in particular.

Mitch is...Mitch is everything you could possibly want. He's been dealt a crap hand, being left my his girl for a rockstar has been a hit for his ego. Now he's is St. Louis and it's time to move on. Mitch thinks he can do that with Bryn, or he hopes he can.

I freaking loved this story. I want so much more from Bryn and Mitch. I love the chemistry between these two. I also love how hard the love each other. This story was amazing and I look forward to more.

For a short read it was steamy. This story can be found in the Burn Me Anthology to raise money for The Hope For Heroes Foundation (a good cause).
Two firefighters wronged and are brought together by fate.
This was a perfect story for the Burn Me Anthology. Two Firefighters burned by the ones they loved and are starting new. Mitch moved to start over and Bryn will be his new co-worker after they hit the sheets hot and heavy. Kristen you have given your characters passion and heart. Your writing flows and you had me on edge to see what would happen between Mitch and Bryn after they realize they're gonna work together after they are intimate. You got me hooked on Bryn and Mitch. Hope to see more of them.

I received an ARC for my honest review. This story can be found in the Burn Me Anthology to raise money for The Hope For Heroes Foundation (a good cause).

This was a fast read and I got everything I expected of this Novella. It was a good read and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Bryn and Mitch meet and it's definitely like insta-lust-love. They are both wronged by the ones who came before them and wind up working together at the same fire house after they have a passionate night. They have to decide whether to keep "having fun" or keep it silent. We follow their journey and end on a bit of a cliffhanger.

I loved these characters and I am definitely anxious to hear more from them in the future. The writing flowed and the plot was original. Looking forward to seeing what Kristen writes next!

There's just something HOT about a firefighter... and when you put two of them together... well, let's go ahead and be cliched... because they burned the pages off! I absolutely loved everything about Crash & Burn except that it was too short ;) perfect in the format it was in... but I just always want MORE! I loved the chemistry right off the bat and then the sultry, sexy- correction, smokin' hot tension between Bryn & Mitch. Even though it was a short in the midst of other great stories.. I loved still that she was able to intertwine a little more depth to the story to help you fall a little more in love with the characters.

I gave this a 5/5 because despite it leaving me wanting for more... it totally satisfied the "quick read" within me- oh, and the fact that this benefits the Hope for Heroes Foundation ... definitely one that hits the heart! <3 <3

We get a taste of the love story that is Bryn Malloye and Mitch Katz....and I do mean just a taste. This is a novella jam packed with heat, lust, laughs and angst.

Ever have a fight with someone, say things you don't mean and then wish for a do over. There's some of that in here.

I will say what I love about KHM's female characters, they are usually strong and independent with a touch of girlie to them. They have jobs other than nurse, secretary and those other stereo types we sometimes see. And yes, they are not afraid to let loose and let their men know what they like in the bedroom gymnastics area.

Mitch comes to us broken hearted but not hardened so that when Bryn enters his life he doesn't waste precious time lamenting "the one that got away".

Can't wait to have to whole story.....after the last chapter here I bet it's going to be a doozey!!

I loved this story. Both are firefighters. Bryn a sassy and tough, and Mitch is close to perfect and worthy of many swoons, as is anyone who binge watches Supernatural. Their connection felt natural and the sex is about as hot as those fires they put out.
Going in, I wasn't aware this was a short and I was so not prepared for this book to end. I want more!! With that said, very excited to know there will be more Mitch and Bryn in the near future.
What I love most though is the writing. I've read quite a few by this author and her books always feel like you're talking to a friend. There's this sense of ease and reassurance in knowing I'll be reading a book that will leave me smiling, and that's definitely what this book did. I can't wait for the next chapters in Mitch and Bryn's story!

Crash and Burn is Mitch & Bryn’s story in a short, quick and hot novella. I need more from this couple. They are combustible and exploded when they got together. Kristen Hope Mazzola never disappoints with the characters she brings to life and these two are no different.

Mitch is still nursing a broken heart, so he’s left everything behind to start a new life in a new city at a new firehouse. Bryn is the only woman at the firehouse and has everyone’s respect. But the newest firefighter is too irresistible to resist because she has already has a taste of him. Can they really keep their personal life separate from their professional life?

This review is for Crash and Burn by Kristen Hope Mazzola which is part of the Burn Me Anthology.

I absolutely loved this one. Extremely well written with two great characters. I cant wait to hopefully get so much more from them. This is a novella about Mitch and Brynn. These two characters have very strong personalities and are in a very difficult line of work. Mitch is new to the city and looking to start over after his ex leaves him for a rockstar. Brynn is wanting to start over after her last boyfriend cheated on her. From the moment these two meet it is instant chemistry. You can easily feel the sparks flying between these two. But will the sparks be enough for them to realize what they have is a great thing? I loved the fast paced writing in this book. I cant wait to read more from these two. Just a great book.

Crash & Burn by Kristen Hope Mazzola is short, sexy novella centering around firefighters Mitch and Brynn. Both of which have been hurt in the past.

From the moment that Brynn and Mitch meet they have an intense chemistry, a strong attraction to one another. What was only supposed to be a fling develops into more!!!

This story is EVERYTHING I LOVE about about insta-lust. This short story is SEXY AS HELL!!! Another thing I LOVED

3.6 from me on this one. ...

Mitch's fiance cheated on him, which of course, ended their relationship. He moves to another city to get away from everything and everybody. He's a firefighter and has accepted a new job in a new town. He seeks out the local tattoo parlor to try to cover over some existing ink. It's there he meets Bryn, who's also a firefighter.

While Bryn is at the tattoo parlor a hot guy walks in and they hit it off. One thing leads to another and well....you know how that goes.

It was a good story and I loved Mitch and Bryn together, but, for me, it was too much story about tattoos. I'm not a fan of them at all, so it took away from the charm of their story..

When Bryn is having her fireman tattoo done a gorgeous guy comes in and asked her out for a drink. Mitch has left everything and everyone he knows to get away from his cheating ex and he took the first job in a firehouse that offered it to him. Bryn makes Mitch forget he is alone but the next day when he sees her at the same firehouse he works in they decide to have a sex relationship on the down low but how long can they keep it a secret. I loved the chemistry between them and I am really looking forward to the next book.

So far I’ve had the pleasure of reading Crash and Burn by Kristen Hope Mazzola and let me tell you, this story is HOT!

I mean who doesn't love a man in a uniform? Especially a firefighter!

Bryn and Mitch’s relationship starts out like fire and gasoline, hot and passionate. But like all good things, they have their rough patches.

Their story had just enough drama, twists, turns and a whole lot of heat! If you're looking for a 'quickie’ (see what I did there ;)) then this story and the other twelve stories in this anthology are just what you need!
