Summary

Come join our team for the Summer! King County International Airport/Boeing Field is looking high school students who are interested in learning about office administration and Airport operations. This is a great opportunity to get some hands on experience working for one of the best general aviation airports in the country.

This recruiting effort is for current high school students who will be enrolled in high school during the 2019-2020 academic school year. This internship is through end of August 2019.

King County International Airport/Boeing Field supports internship programs that provide work experience for students in an accredited post-secondary institution that is related to their course of study. The internship program is designed so that the student will have the opportunity to apply principles and theories learned in the classroom, gain new skills, explore a career path and be supervised and mentored by a professional in their field.

The high school administration intern will support the Program and Projects Administrator and other KCIA/Boeing Field sections with event planning and data management. The intern will be responsible for tracking attendance briefings, data visualization and event planning to support KCIA in the implementation of programs as needed. The intern will play a key role in processing documentation and contributing to the development of evaluation frameworks for programs and projects at the Airport. The internship is intended to build the intern's business administration skills. The intern will receive direct supervision and mentorship from the Program and Projects Administrator and will have the opportunity to become engaged in programs and projects of relevance to the Airport.

To support learning, all KCIA interns will:

- Be paired with a mentor;
- Participate in special projects developed by the student intern's mentor;
- Be included in events at KCIA, including meetings and hosted events;
 - Participate in ongoing professional development including attendance at workshops, seminars, and team tasks;
- Complete a culminating project with the support of their mentor to be shared at the end of the term mini-symposium; and
- Be included (where applicable) on the development of publications that result from their project.

How do I apply?
