2017 - Played and started in all 57 games for the Lions as an outfielder..earned second team D2CCA and NFCA D2 All-Central Region teams...took All-MIAA Honors (First Team)...landed on the second team Academic All-American and CoSIDA All-District squads, while being one of six players named to the MIAA Academic Honor roll as a MIAA Scholar Athlete Award recipient (4.0)...also named MIAA Hitter of the Week (Apr. 18)...Corbett's 96 hits set a new MIAA and MSSU school record...led the conference in batting average (.438), hits (98), at-bats (224), and stolen bases (30)...finished second in on-base percentage (.457), and runs scored (57), while ending tied for fourth in triples...recorded 33 multi-hit games, including two four-hit performances vs Fort Hayes State (Feb. 11) and at Lindenwood (Apr. 15)...led the team in total bases with 109.
2016 - Corbett started all 55 games for Southern in left field and led the Lions in hitting with a .370 average...earned second team All-MIAA honors...Corbett hit six doubles and was second on the team with eight sacrifice hits, one which lead to a 2-0 win over eventually 10th ranked Arkansas Tech...Corbett was also the most effective base stealer for the Lions swiping 31 of 36 attempts this season...Corbett had a season and career high four hits against Emporia State on March 26 as the Lions swept the Hornets 5-2 and 4-1, she went 4-for-4 in that second game...she swiped a career high four stolen bases against Lincoln on April 2 as Southern won the opening game of the double header 5-0...she also set a career mark in RBIs with three coming in the nightcap against Nebraska-Kearney as the Lions won 5-2 on March 13.
2015 - Corbett started all 52 games for the Lions in left field hitting .228 during her first season in The Green & Gold...Abi recorded 12 multi-hit games with a career high three hits in games against Illinois-Springfield (February 13), 12th ranked Arkansas Tech (Game 1 on March 11), and William Jewell (Game 1 on March 24)...she also recorded a season high three RBIs in an 8-5 win over Nebraska-Kearney on March 14 that ended a 14 game skid for the Lions...Corbett also connected for three doubles on the season against Rockhurst (February 14), at 11th ranked Emporia State (Game 1 on March 28th), and at Drury (Game 2 on April 7)...swiped 11 bases on the season while only being caught twice.
Prior to Southern - A four-year letter winner in softball at Holt High School in Wentzville, Missouri, Corbett was a three-year starter for the Indians. Abi split her time on the diamond between outfield and second and third base. After earning all-conference honorable mention honors as an outfielder as a freshman and sophomore, she moved to the infield for her final two years where she earned second-team all-conference honors. In addition to her solid play on the field, she earned All-Academic honors all four years of high school. Last summer, her club softball team finished fifth at the ASA USA Nationals. She also lettered two years in track and field where she ran on the 4x100 and 4x200 meter relays earning all-conference third team honors in the 4x100 as a freshman.
Personal - Undecided on her major at Southern...daughter of Bret and Courtney Corbett...has three siblings, Mac, Emma, and Kaiya.
