Family Business
After starting an online education company with his father in 2000, Peter quickly established partnerships with state and national professional associations. Through these partnerships, Peter developed, marketed, and delivered continuing education programs for licensed professionals and niche markets. In seven short years, Peter’s family business provided online professional continuing education programs to tens of thousands of counselors, psychologists, pharmacists, nurses and physical therapists.
Teaching
Next Generation Leadership Development is integral to developing lasting family businesses. For over 13 years, Peter was a visiting Lecturer at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and helped hundreds of undergraduate students understand and appreciate the power of family enterprises in the Family Business major. A program of study designed to spark the next generation, each semester he provides students with the skills necessary to evaluate themselves, their family systems and the business so they can choose their path in or out of the family business.
Conferences
Peter is the Education and Conference Director for Family Business Magazine which puts on multiple conferences for family businesses throughout the year. The flagship conference, Transitions, is designed for families by families and creates an intimate and innovative environment for attendees to candidly share their stories of challenge and triumph. Jillian Kittle
Director of Operations
Family Business
Jillian’s passion for family business stemmed from her family’s multigenerational oil company, which remains in business today. Spending countless summers and afterschool hours working alongside her grandfather, Jillian knows firsthand what it is like to work in a family enterprise.
Education
While studying at Stetson University, she had the opportunity to participate in one of the country’s only Family Enterprise Programs. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Family Enterprise.
Conferences
In addition to the Director of Operations for JPB Consulting Group, Jillian also serves as the Conference Coordinator for Family Business Magazine. She works closely with sponsors and speakers on both the speaking preparation and the content as well as the execution of the events.
