I must say, my dining experience at this place has been nothing short of a nightmare. The prices they charge for their mediocre food are absolutely outrageous.
To make matters worse, when my group of 8 students tried to combine two empty tables that were next to each other so we could sit together, the male owner came over and tore us apart without saying a word. His behavior was beyond rude and completely uncalled for.
If you happen to glance at the Google reviews for this place and take a look at how the owners respond to the 1-star reviews, you'll be appalled. They not only deny any criticism directed at them but also accuse the reviewers of being rude and ridiculous. I have no idea how they managed to maintain such a high rating, but it's certainly undeserved.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 22287783Dec 24, 2023
Solid brunch spot in Pittsburgh! It's a really cute little cafe on Craig St serving up European style crepes, belgian waffles, and sandwiches with lots of savory and sweet options. I've been here so many times and tried everything from their belgian waffles to sweet & savory crepes to their paninis. Don't sleep on their paninis!! I think they're so good. I got a pesto mozzarella and tomato one, and it was fantastic. The bread was incredibly crispy and grilled nicely and the cheese was perfectly melty. It was also so filling, and lasted me two meals because I couldn't finish it in one sitting. For their crepes and waffles, their toppings are very customizable and they also have solid menu options that you can't go wrong with. Their belgian dark chocolate is amazing. All their ingredients taste fresh and high quality. All the savory options come with a little side salad too.
I've also had their mocha, which is very very strong on the dark chocolate flavor if you're into that.
They have indoor and outdoor seating on the back patio, which is really nice in the warmer months. Water is self serve inside and you're expected to clean up after yourself. When you order, you can see them making the crepes in the open kitchen in the back which is cool.
Honestly I think this place is so underrated!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nora C.San Francisco, CA23719Mar 17, 2024
If you want the real thing! I mean the real taste of a French crepe this is the place to go. The owner trained in France and you can taste tbe difference. They have a great patio in the back. The is perfect for an afternoon brunch.

Crepes are delicious! This spot is crazy popular, especially when the CMU and Pitt students are in Oakland. It's not uncommon to see a line backed up to the door, so definitely stop in close to opening if you don't have time for a leisurely brunch

Went here for brunch with friends! I got the mushroom & spinach crepe with bechamel sauce. It was delicious! The side salad was ok. Wish it came with a little more like tomatoes or something. I also got the iced cafe au lait which was pretty good. I like that you can choose what kind of sauce you can get in your savory crepe. They also had sweet crepes, waffles, and paninis, with a large selection of teas and coffee. I do wish they had some turkey options for the savory crepes.
The place is small & it was pretty crowded for a Thursday afternoon. Most of the time while we were there, every table was full.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dienw L.Pittsburgh, PA262Sep 24, 2023
The food at Crepes Parisienne is amazing. I have never had an average meal here. If there is a long line, it moves relatively quickly and is always worth the wait. The champagne vinagrette is hands down the BEST dressing I've ever had.
I also love that the Chef/owner enforces his rules, he doesn't allow patrons to save tables before ordering and this ensures you are almost always guaranteed a table.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nina -.Pittsburgh, PA011Nov 7, 2023
I ordered salmon crepe for dine in and had an allergy attack due to buckwheat, which was not listed on the menu anywhere.
When I inquired the waiter, he rolled his eyes at me and said yes there is buckwheat in the flour and I should have told them about my allergy when I order. I questioned him about buckwheat not listed on the menu, however he was being very aggressive and said "do you need us to call 911 for you?", which was extremely rude and disrespectful. When I asked if they can change to something that does not have buckwheat in it, he rolled his eyes and said no, then walked away. At the meantime, I was having allergic reactions and was not breathing well.
The waitress came and inquired about my allergy multiple times, and she offered me waffles and a refund. She also apologized for the waiter's rudeness and said she would talk to him about it.
The overall experience was awful, and I don't deserved to be insulted by the waiter like this under any circumstances. Especially when they did not list ingredients on the menu and blamed me for not asking. The waiter kept saying that all crepes restaurants have buckwheat flour, but I have never been to any that use buckwheat. Terrible experience.
I threw up and was sick for the whole day after this incident.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - H W.Pittsburgh, PA452638Jul 2, 2023
Among the best spots for lunch on Craig St.
Customize any crepe you'd like. But save room for the dark chocolate crepe. Adds a perfect finish to every meal.
The main dining area is nice. They always have nice music. And on nice days, sit outside on the patio in the back.
Service is efficient and keeps the food and tables moving.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 16, 2022
This is my favorite place to have lunch in Oakland! They have the best paninis and they come with a side salad with their homemade champagne dressing! Yum! I have had the Nutella crepe with strawberries and whipped cream before too. During covid, they expanded the outside patio seating for additional seating for guests.
They are not open on Mondays but this is literally a place I look forward to enjoying lunch. It reminds me of a bistro I've been to in Paris and while small, the flavors are big and satisfying.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Michelle L.Pittsburgh, PA6797147Apr 24, 2023
