Olympic Hills Family Newsletter
11-12-2020
I felt immense hope as I watched Vice President-elect Kamala Harris's speech on Saturday and thought about the powerful message she shared: "But while I may be the first woman in this office, I will not be the last. Because every little girl, watching tonight sees that this is a country of possibilities." As a daughter of Black and South Asian immigrants, she is an inspiration especially for our female students and students of color, proof that barriers are meant to be broken, and that they have the power to do anything, be anything, and change the world.
Below is our assembly video celebrating Native American Heritage Month, including Indigenous peoples!

Elementary Parent-Teacher Conferences
Parent-teacher conferences are coming up Monday 11/23 and Tuesday 11/24! At conferences, you will have an opportunity to check in about your child's academic, social, and emotional progress, and have a conversation together about their learning. You may also have an opportunity to look together at their progress report, which is more of a general guide this year on their progress since we have fewer data points than in years past. The most important focus will be on the conversation and how you can work together to support your child.
