Join us on Tuesday, April 7, 2020  for a "Decarceration Caravan" in solidarity with people incarcerated during the COVID-19 pandemic. People are invited to drive in their own cars, respecting social distancing guidelines, and bring signs supporting mass release and ways to make noise so people inside jails can hear us!

Sign-up below to receive information on the caravan’s location. We’ll send you an email before Tuesday morning to let you know exactly where to join the car caravan. We will also text updates as we move from stop to stop throughout the day.

We are calling for a mass release of people incarcerated in the county and federal adult jails, youth jails and prisons, immigrant detention centers, and the Illinois Department of Corrections--all in the name of public health.

Join us on Tuesday morning as we raise the alarm and let incarcerated people know that folks across Cook County are fighting for their lives.

This event is sponsored by A Just Harvest, Action Now, All of Us Or None Chicago, American Friends Service Committee, Assata’s Daughters, Believers Bail Out, Chicago 400 Alliance, Chicago Alliance Against Racist & Political Repression, Chicago Community Bond Fund, Circles & Ciphers, Community Renewal Society, Equity and Transformation (EAT), Liberation Library, Love & Protect, Moms United Against Violence and Incarceration, Organized Communities Against Deportations (OCAD), The People’s Lobby, Southsiders Organized for Unity and Liberation (SOUL), South Side Workers Center, Unitarian Universalist Prison Ministry of Illinois, Westside Justice Center, and Women’s Justice Initiative.
