COST & FINANCIAL INFO 

COST

Cost: $5.500 + AIRFAIRE + TUITION + Covid-19 Test


*Airfare cost will be about between $1,200 - $1,500.

*The cost of tuition is the same as if taking classes at UNCW.
  Approximate tuition cost for 2 classes (6 credit hours).
            (In-state: $1,122.25) (Out of state: $3,342.25)

The program is all inclusive. Price includes:​

  • Home stay with a Spanish host family for 5 weeks.

  • Overseas student health insurance.

  • 3 meals and snacks daily while with host families.

  • 3 or 2 meals during excursions. Only 3-4 lunches are not included. Breakfast and dinner are always provided. The cost of a lunch in Spain could be as low as $8-15).

  • Weekly laundry. 

  • All group ground transportation.

  • Hotel stays while on excursions in double or triple occupancy rooms.

  • Many cultural excursions and activities including guided tours and entrance tickets to museums, cathedrals, palaces, musical or play in Madrid, movie at movie theater in Santander, canoeing trip, visit to a cave, the mountains, the beach, a natural zoo, rides by bicycle, boat and bus, flamenco lessons, flamenco show and more.

  • Class supplies.
     

Program must be paid in full on March.
 

There is a $500 deposit due at the time of application. This deposit secures your spot. It is not an additional cost, it will be applied towards the program's cost, however, It is non- refundable, unless the student is not accepted in the program or has a true medical emergency.

Airfare is not included and students will arrange their own flight. The flight needs to be scheduled two days prior to the official first day of the program. The flight to Spain is an overnight flight and you will arrive a day early and spend a night in Madrid so everyone can be ready to meet the first official date of the program.  You will need to make a reservation to spend one night in Madrid. I will give you hotel recommendations with free airport shuttles.

Tuition will be paid directly to UNCW on the date indicated on the University calendar.

​

It is recommended that students bring some pocket money for personal expenses and to have a small emergency fund.  Between $200 - $500.

 

Out of packet expenses will be:
 

  • Passport $140 (only if needed)

  • One night hotel in Madrid about $60 - $80

  • Lunches not included about $100

  • Public transportation in Santander $50 (only if needed)

  • Money for personal expenses.
