To God Alone Be the Glory!
It’s the calm before the storm here at NCF of AC. We have 12 teams joining us this summer in the span of 7 weeks. Praise the Lord for His goodness and grace.
While I have a little breather, I just wanted to take a moment to give the Lord the glory and praise for a 10th anniversary celebration that surpassed expectations. If you were able to join us, I know you were as blessed as we were to hear testimony after testimony of how God used NCF and HFAC in people’s lives. Many people came up to me afterwards and said, “I was going to come up and share but time ran out!”
If you were not able to join us, I’m so sorry you weren’t able to make it. When it was over and we were able to sit down and peel our shoes off at home, Mary Ellen said to me, “You pulled it off honey.” I replied, “Nope. God showed up.” To which she answered, “Yes He did.”
That’s why I wish you could have made it (I am not chiding anyone, I know many of you live quite a distance away). Because that night gave testimony to the fact not simply that God showed up one Saturday night in AC when we were celebrating His work among us here. That night we heard many testimonies to the fact that God has been showing up in some unlikely (and likely) places throughout our time here in AC!
There is simply no way to convey this truth through a written email report. But if I had to summarize what encouraged me the most (and should encourage you as gospel partners as well), it’s this: In 2009 we came with simply a vision written on a page. Fast forward to 2019 and it’s no longer just a vision. It’s a reality. Of course we have a long way to go and it’s still not what it could be. But that’s why our 10th celebration was so deeply encouraging to our souls. After ten years of looking ahead, striving to be more, trusting God to reach more and more people with the gospel and it’s call to not overlook the poor and marginalized, we took a moment to take a deep breath and see what God has already done and give Him thanks and praise for it!

I truly pray that his words will be as much of an encouragement to you as they were to all of us here at NCF. Your prayers, support, giving, partnership and labor in the Lord have not been in vain brothers and sisters.
