Nonprofit Human Resources Intern - Tafel Scholarship

Strong Women, Strong Girls is seeking a part-time intern who will work with the executive director to support and improve organizational processes and operations. Focus is flexible dependent on intern interests. Students with various interests in non-profit careers are encouraged to apply!
Unpaid: 10 hours/week
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Required:
-Passion for non-profit work
-Commitment to the mission of Strong Women, Strong Girls
-Confidence and clarity in communication
-Diligence and attention to detail
-Background in HR best practices for nonprofits or small businesses
-Ability to multitask and prioritize with ease and adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
-Ability to execute tasks to completion with minimal supervision
Preferred:
-Strong skills using MS Office and Google Docs / Sheets / Drive
About SWSG:
Our mission is to empower girls to imagine a broader future through a curriculum grounded on female role models.In SWSG, three generations of females build community, connections, and strength to break down barriers and imagine a broader future. Girls in grades 3-5, who are primarily from under-resourced neighborhoods, attend weekly, curriculum-guided mentoring sessions with college women mentors. At the same time, our College Mentors build relationships with professional women mentors, known as Strong Leaders, creating a sustainable future for the next generation of female leaders.
