Arab American Heritage Month

AAUW is proud to celebrate Arab American Heritage Month this April. This month, we are highlighting our alumnae of Arab heritage as well as those working to bring awareness and promote gender equity for women and girls within the Arab American community.

Mona Tajali is an associate professor of international relations and women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at Agnes College.

Dr. Gabriella Nassif is an American and Lebanese feminist and political economy expert.

Dr. Dena Al-Adeeb is an Iraqi born feminist scholar-activist, and artist-cultural worker.

Dr. Ghadeer Dawwas, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Dr. Sanaz Chamanara is the ESG Lead at the United Nations University Institute.
