Welcome to Ms. Henderson's Healthcare Science Page
This year may look and feel different than anything we have experienced academically so far, but no matter how you are attending school this year we will all be participating in rigorous and academically challenging classes.
I am Ms. Henderson and I will be teaching Healthcare Sciences for the 2020-2021 academic school year. Please know that all or your teachers are working together and are committed to our students' success. As we move into a school year riddled with unknowns it will be valuable for you to become familiar with a few things before you get started.
A little bit about me...
My name is Khalisha Henderson aka Ms. Henderson aka Coach She'. I have been at Ramsey Middle School for the past three years, meaning this is my fourth year! I have a Bachelors Degree in Human and Health Performance with a Concentration in Physical Education and School Health. I also have a Masters degree in the Art of Teaching Physical Education, because yes it is its own form of art. While being here at Ramsey Middle School I have taken on several positions such as an Equity Team Member, Instructional Leadership Team Member, Coach of both girls basketball teams and the Coach for boys soccer team.
My goal for this coming school year is for students to learn about the different healthcare science careers and skills. Over the course of the year you will learn about a variety of topics and hands on skills that will prepare you for a future in the healthcare field. One skill that you will get to learn is CPR/First Aid/ Safety. Each year we will go more in depth with this skill. I want to empower students to learn using technology, while working with others and teaching them to be efficient with their skills. There is a lot for us to learn about if you choose this pathway.
