WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Learning to swim is a life skill that everyone needs. UNCW's Office of Community Engagement and Athletics Department have partnered to provide a unique Learn to Swim program to help area youth achieve this goal.
Approximately 20 children, ages 6 to 16, from Wilmington's Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church spent two weeks in June learning water safety and skills while overcoming their fears and growing familiar with the water.
