Description

MORE THAN JUST A THEATRE

Tibbits Opera House is an active and vibrant arts and cultural center for Branch County with year-round entertainment for all.

June - August: Professional Summer Theatre and Children's Popcorn Theatre

September - May:  Our Entertainment Series features musicians, comedians, poets, puppeteers and more! Our Classic Films series runs October to May and features a double feature on the big screen one Saturday a month.

Tibbits also hosts a plethora of community events, lectures, meetings and more.

Built in 1882, Tibbits is an exquisite and rare example of standalone opera house. Its stunning french second empire facade draws you into a intimate 500-seat house, featuring a horseshoe-shaped balcony and near-perfect acoustics. Make sure you check out our unique mural painted by Disney illustrator Alfred Parke and the permanently-housed 19th century painting collection. The theatre also hosts rotating gallery exhibitions and a gift shop in the lower level of the theatre.

Come experience a show and explore Tibbits!
