Proposals include sustainable liquidity facility and adding climate factors to reserves management

The Central Bank of Brazil has unveiled a new “sustainability agenda”, as it looks to prepare for an economy that is being reshaped by climate change.

The plan includes integrating climate risk and other elements of sustainable finance into the central bank’s financial stability work, monetary policy and reserves management.
