About this event

This virtual community conversation will take place on Thursday, November 5th, 2020 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM in partnership with various faith-based, academic, and community organizations, the Office of the Governor, and the Departments of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), and Children and Families (DCF).

The purpose of this event is to engage in dialogue on equity, develop recommendations for local and larger systems improvements, and to build and bridge community alliances. The agenda for the evening includes brief remarks by the Office of the Governor, and Commissioners from the Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and the Department of Children and Families. The event will include conversation starters by Monique Sanders (Spoken Word Artist), Kelvin Young (CHW and Sound Healer), and virtual breakout rooms facilitated by community members, faith-based leaders, and DMHAS/DCF staff.

A Zoom link will be sent to the registered email on file prior to the event. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, November 3 at noon. We look forward to having a productive dialogue!
