PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — Babcock Ranch is preparing to celebrate their Festival of Kites on Saturday.
The event is taking place at their newly enhanced Jack Peeples Park, Playground, and Nature Trail.
Organizers say the fun-filled day features world-renowned kite makers and fliers who will showcase their talent with large kites and flying demonstrations.
It also includes free kite kits for children, food tastings, and tours of Babcock Ranch’s model homes.
The community is recognized as America’s first solar-powered town that focuses on greenways, parks, and lakes.
