Life Insurance and Disability Coverage
Sometimes circumstances can impact your ability to do work. If that happens, the Northeastern Disability Program can help protect you financially.
Northeastern also provides you with Basic Life Insurance at no cost to you, though you may purchase additional coverage for yourself, your partner, or your children.
Family Care Resources
U.S.-based, benefits-eligible faculty and staff have access to a nationwide network of child, elder, and service providers through Care.com.
In Boston, faculty and staff looking for quality early childhood education and care receive priority status at The Russell J. Call Children’s Center.
Leaves of Absence
If you find yourself needing to take a leave of absence, either to care for yourself or a member of the family, you can apply for our Paid Leave Program.
Navigating Life’s Challenges
When you or your family need help with work or life issues, we provide access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), New Directions, which offers support and guidance through life’s challenges.
Healthy You Program
Healthy You is a series of programs to help you understand, improve, and maintain your health. It features opportunities, including walking programs, exercise classes, educational programs, and more.
As part of Healthy You, Northeastern also offers wellness programs to help you reach and maintain your health goals, and the opportunity to earn up to $400 per year with Virgin Pulse.
Campus Recreation
For a modest fee, Boston faculty and staff can access the Marino Recreation Center on campus, among other amenities.
