Black History Month: Cape Fear Museum presents a screening of “Reconstruction: America After the Civil War.” The first hour of Henry Louis Gates Jr.'s film explores the transformative years following the American Civil War, when the nation struggled to rebuild itself in the face of profound loss, massive destruction and revolutionary social change .2:30 p.m. at Cape Fear Museum, 814 Market St., Wilmington. Chamber Music Wilmington: Concert features Volante Winds, an ensemble from Indiana University's famous Jacobs School of Music. Cape Fear Audubon Society: Will host “The N.C. Birding Trail,” with guest speaker Scott Anderson, bird conservation biologist with the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission, 7-8:30 p.m. at Halyburton Park, 4099 S. 17th St., Wilmington. Anderson will begin with a sampling of the prime habitat types the Trail includes. He will also explain how this multi-agency project uses the economic power of birding and nature tourism to benefit the citizens and wildlife of our state. Cape Fear Audubon is a nonprofit affiliate of Audubon North Carolina and the National Audubon Society.

Sandbar lecture: Featuring Jim McKee, archaeology of Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson, 6 p.m. at the Museum of Coastal Carolina, 21 E. Second St., Ocean Isle Beach. A documentation about Brunswick, the main port town in colonial N.C. and also will focus on the recent discovery of a colonial tavern that garnered international press in 2019.
