9 things to do during a music-heavy weekend

All weekend: "The Exonerated"
Based on interviews with six people who'd been on death row before having their convictions overturned -- as well as on letters, court transcripts, case files and more -- "The Exonerated" ran for two years off-Broadway and was later made into a 2005 TV movie. This week, the 2002 play created by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen makes its Wilmington debut. Directed by Joshua Bailey for Big Dawg Productions, the play is a mix of monologues and scenes set in court and prisons, and shines a spotlight on a deeply flawed criminal justice system. Details: 8 p.m. Nov. 6-9, 14-16 and 21-23, 3 p.m. Nov. 10, 17 and 24 at the Cape Fear Playhouse, 613 Castle St., Wilmington. Tickets are $25; $22 for seniors, students and military; $18 on Thursdays. Opening night is "pay what you can." 910-367-5237 or BigDawgProductions.org. [PHOTO BY JAMES BOWLING]
