Today’s strong economy provides a great amount of opportunity – both for businesses seeking to grow their presence in Ohio, as well as for students and professionals who are ready to take the next step in their careers.

Governor DeWine and I know that growing your business requires a trained and skilled workforce that can fuel your expansion. Through the Governor’s Office of Workforce Transformation, we have taken action to close the skills gap, including by launching both TechCred and our new Industry Sector Partnership grant program. You can learn more about both of these programs, which have proven to be very popular with Ohio businesses at Workforce.Ohio.gov.

The next step in our work is to launch a new, statewide internship initiative for high school students in order to attract more young people into technology-related career fields. Connecting them with you earlier in their education and career pathway will help retain more talent for your business – and Ohio.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP US HELP YOU! We want to make certain that this program will meet your business’ needs. As we design the initiative, we would like to have some feedback from you so we can ensure maximum success from the program in helping to meet your needs for a trained, skilled workforce in technology roles.

My best,

Jon Husted
Lt. Governor of Ohio
