The grand dad would include the no crown guard in the low 1 million serial. There are variations in print and texture from the smooth stella style brow to the more grainy dial. Hands start with Alpha move to Concorde and finish with Mercedes. We need a whole post for them.

You would be wearing a Rolex Nicolas notice the very special Concorde hands. Very limited like the Dauphine hands. Bill

This is the early transition from its older brother 6542.
This model is the first iteration in 18k of the 1675 from circa 1961/1962 The alfa hands came on the first generation. Later as the crown guard was introduced it had the concord hands later followed by Mercedes hands.

Flat hands are found in various models but not the lightening bolt.
